Age of Ultron Review

By EBENEZER SHIM – The coming of the long-awaited movie, “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” brought thrilling, yet uneasy feelings to comic book enthusiasts and movie-lovers alike. After “Avengers Assembled,” I have been anticipating “Age of Ultron” since 2012 in hopes that it would be as awesome as the first.

The movie told the story of Tony Stark, technology genius and the Iron Man himself, who created Ultron, a peacekeeping program. The program went terribly wrong, and the Avengers had to work together to make things right again, according to IMDb.

The film was choppy, and the plot didn’t flow well, mostly because the original director’s cut was a half an hour too long for screening, and cuts were made. “The Age of Ultron” was also confusing in the sense that there was too much going on and everything felt rushed.

Too many characters, like the addition of heroes Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, and plot devices, such as the romance between two Avengers, Black Widow and the Hulk, were put into this movie, making it hard to keep up with. Sooner than later, I might just have to bring a notebook with me while watching a Marvel movie to keep track of everything.

The movie was not as great as I had hoped it to be. As a huge Marvel fan, I felt more of an obligation to love this movie rather than an actual love for the movie itself. My expectations for this movie were very high but coming out of the theater from“Age of Ultron,” I couldn’t help but feel disappointed.
